Africa Beyond the Fourth Industrial Revolution (AB4IR) is a Digital Innovation Hub founded on the market need to redress the digital divide apparent in previously disadvantaged communities of South Africa. Our programmes expose disadvantaged communities to the ICT sector focusing on gaming, animation, virtual reality, and drone technology. We introduce start-up entrepreneurs to new trends in technology and advise them on how to incubate their ideas for market access and commercialize their innovations.

AB4IR offers a fully integrated innovation environment comprising a makerspace and auditorium for collaboration, prototyping, training, and events; a modern computer lab for coding, digital skills, and research; a dedicated 3D printing and fabrication room for design and rapid prototyping; and specialised gaming, esports, and animation studios that support game development, digital media production, and creative technologies, together creating a future-ready ecosystem that empowers learners, creators, and entrepreneurs to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
